What is Copyright? See the Canadian IP
Office’s New Video on YouTube

The Canadian IP Office invites you to check out their new video which appears on the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada channel on YouTube.

Viewers will see the video provides basic information about copyright in Canada, including the types of works that can be protected, the ability to use the © symbol in copyright notices, and the duration of protection in Canada – i.e., generally the duration of the author’s lifetime plus another 50 years.

As the video suggests, you can learn more about copyright, and copyright registration in Canada, at http://Canada.ca/copyright.

(And, of course, HOLBECHE LAW will be happy to help you in this respect too 😉 )
